Tin Canoe

Distant Discoveries

Do you remember making one of these as a kid? Affectionately known as "tinnies" these homemade canoes were fashioned by children from scavenged corrugated iron. Join Brendan, one of our Visitor Services Officers here at the Maritime Museum, as he shares a little history about the once popular hobby.

#DistantDisoveries is proudly supported by Santos: Proudly Australian.
