Steam Generator Engine

Bellis & Morcom - Steam Generator Engine

This specialised twin cylinder compound steam engine was typically used for generating electricity in marine and terrestrial applications.  The compound design was highly efficient in its use of steam, and the enclosed crankcase minimised maintenance.

The 110 Volt DC (Direct Current) generator is not original, but typical of those used in marine applications.
