In its heyday, Kalgoorlie-Boulder was home to 93 hotels — that’s roughly one hotel for every 320 residents.

Before water was piped in from Perth, beer was actually cheaper than good drinking water!

Many of these historic hotels still stand today. While some continue to serve as pubs, others have been transformed into boarding houses, corporate offices, or retail stores.
