Tina Arena

Hi, I'm Tina Arena. My connection to Aurelio Costarella started a very long time ago, towards the end of the 90s, the early 2000s. I met Aurelio through some friends in Western Australia when I was there performing, and I was a very big fan of his beautiful work.

Both Aurelio and I had a mutual Italian connection. We're both children of immigrants who came to this country a very long time ago. Both Aurelio and I had a shared love for fashion and anything that was beautiful.

I had the pleasure of wearing some of Aurelio's creations during my orchestral tours in the middle of the 2000s. He designed a couple of really beautiful pieces for me that felt luxurious to wear on stage. Not only was he aware of the wonderful environment that I had the privilege of working in, He made sure that he made me a piece that absolutely befitted the environment and the occasion.

The way that I would describe Aurelio's designs is that he had a great understanding of the female body and everything that he ever did would put that female body in value, whether it was the cut, whether it was the fabric, how that fabric was embellished, embellished, whether it had rhinestones or lace or whatever it may have had attached to it, it was always really beautiful, beautiful to wear. I feel so fortunate to have had that time wearing his pieces.
