Bell from Highland Forest

Bell from Highland Forest

The iron barque Highland Forest was wrecked on the Murray Reefs south of Rockingham in 1901. The famous author Joseph Conrad was First Mate on the ship in 1887. He based some of his incidents and characters on that experience.

Donated by Rudi Kreuzer.
